Book cover design & layout of the inside pages has long been one of my favorite projects to work on. I really enjoy helping to make the author’s and publisher’s vision a reality.

I’ve been able to work on books by first time authors, seasoned writers, novels, how-to books, history books, training manuals, motivational books, self-improvement books, journals… it’s all good.

Years ago I got to work with Grace Products on a teaching series they were doing for Bill Dotson and Abiding Fathers with teacher guides, participant manuals, and videos. That led to me getting to do more projects with Abiding Fathers and now Bill Dotson’s new ministry – Life Today.

We poured through lots of photos to find the right look to express the book’s message. We looked at many type options to find a title font that felt right and a body copy font that read well and fit overall design & layout. That stuff can drive some designers nuts but those details matter and I actually like going through the whole process.
